HARDWOOD FLOOR SCREEN AND RE-COAT

When your hardwood floors need to be refreshed, a screen and recoat is a time and cost-saving way to postpone the need for a complete restoration. Unlike a sanding and refinishing, screening merely scuffs up the floor and is relatively clean. And although a screening (buffing) and recoating won’t address deep scratches or changes in color, it will restore the glow of your floors and give them a refreshed look. At Uptown Flooring, we are your local hardwood floor buff and recoat experts in Thornton. Our reliable screen and recoat process is designed to help preserve your floor’s existing finish without changing the color underneath.

OUR SCREENING AND RE-COATING PROCESS

At Uptown Flooring, we work with you every step of the way so that you know exactly what is going on with your flooring.

01

ESTIMATE AND FLOOR PREPARATION

You will be given a detailed written estimate for the screen and recoat. Prior to your appointment, all room furnishings must be moved off the floor.

02

SCREENING AND SEALANT APPLICATION

We will screen your floors and then apply a coat (or two) of oil-based, water-based or polyurethane. This process takes one to two days.

03

INSPECTION, WARRANTY AND MAINTENANCE

Wood floor refinishing takes several days for the finish to fully cure. We’ll also provide you with any applicable product warranty and maintenance information.
